This consulting project supports the Digital Government Authority and other ministries in improving customer/user experience, digital transformation and data management to meet UNDESA e-government index standards. It forms an expert team, analyses UNDESA reports, benchmarks international best practices, performs situational analysis, develops strategies and roadmaps and delivers dashboards and knowledge transfer to ensure continuous improvement.
A. The Challenge
Saudi ministries needed to enhance their e-government services to improve UNDESA e-government index rankings, but lacked detailed analysis of current performance, best practices and a coordinated improvement strategy. Achieving sustainable improvement required cross-agency collaboration and expertise.
B. Our Solution
We assembled a team of programme managers and international experts to supervise digital transformation initiatives, analyse open data and review UNDESA reports from 2022-2024. We conducted situational analysis, identified gaps, designed strategies and roadmaps, provided advisory support on digital transformation and sustainable development, and built a dynamic dashboard for performance tracking and knowledge transfer.
C. Key Achievements
The project delivered comprehensive analyses, strategies and roadmaps, improved alignment with UNDESA criteria, enhanced user experience and data management practices, and provided interactive dashboards for ongoing monitoring. It established a continuous improvement system and strengthened Saudi Arabia’s positioning in the UN e-government index.
