This consultancy project sets target positions for Saudi Arabia in international digital government and competitiveness indices and devises a roadmap to achieve them. It compares the Kingdom’s performance with leading nations, analyses 2024 reports, defines clear goals for 2030 with interim milestones, assigns responsibilities, partners with specialised institutes and produces detailed recommendations.
A. The Challenge
Saudi Arabia needed to improve its standings in international indices such as the UN EGDI and digital competitiveness rankings. Limited benchmarking, unclear targets and disparate responsibilities across ministries hindered progress, while evolving international criteria required up-to-date analysis and expert guidance.
B. Our Solution
We benchmarked Saudi Arabia’s performance against global and regional leaders, analysed international reports through 2025 and consulted with expert institutes. We defined measurable targets for overall and sub-indicators, identified responsible agencies and developed a phased roadmap to 2030. The project produced detailed comparative studies and built partnerships for continued advisory support.
C. Key Achievements
The project delivered clear targets and a roadmap to place Saudi Arabia within the top 25 EGDI rankings, developed partnerships with international research institutes, and generated comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations. It provided guidance to align national strategies and projects with global best practices and improved understanding of international digital competitiveness.
