This project prepares the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority to attain the diamond level in the King Abdulaziz Quality Award model. It trains employees on the national excellence model, conducts workshops for 4,000 staff, reviews previous evaluation reports from both King Abdulaziz Quality Award and EFQM, identifies improvement opportunities, conducts self-assessment, defines a detailed improvement plan, supports departments in implementing improvements and ensures readiness for external evaluation.
A. The Challenge
To achieve the prestigious diamond level, the authority needed to align its practices with stringent national and international excellence standards. Employees required training, and departments needed support to address improvement opportunities identified in prior evaluations.
B. Our Solution
We delivered comprehensive training on the national excellence model and internal assessor course, ran workshops for thousands of employees, reviewed previous evaluation feedback, performed self-assessments using the Etqan tool, prioritised improvement projects, supported departments in implementing changes and prepared a detailed final report and readiness plan for external evaluation.
C. Key Achievements
The project equipped over 4,000 employees with excellence competencies, identified critical improvement initiatives, supervised their implementation and prepared the authority’s final award submission. It strengthened organisational capability, ensured compliance with the national excellence model and EFQM standards and enhanced readiness for the King Abdulaziz Quality Award.
