The project aimed to develop a comprehensive media policy and communications strategy for the Family Affairs Council. It involved analysing the current internal and external communications environment, defining roles and responsibilities, and unifying messages across digital and traditional channels. The work included drafting governance documents, building content guidelines, developing training and workshops for staff, and establishing metrics to measure effectiveness.
A. The Challenge
Before the project, communications were fragmented and lacked clear guidelines. Multiple departments conveyed inconsistent messages, and there was no unified media policy or clear definition of roles. The Council needed a structured framework to align its internal and external communication and strengthen its digital presence.
B. Our Solution
We analysed current practices, benchmarked best‑practice public‑sector communications and developed a media policy that clarified roles and approval processes. We designed a communications strategy with unified key messages, a digital content charter, templates and guidelines. Training workshops equipped staff with practical skills and a governance framework ensured consistent implementation.
C. Key Achievements
The Council now speaks with a single voice across all channels. Staff understand their roles and apply the new guidelines, improving response time and message consistency. Evaluation metrics track engagement and sentiment. The unified strategy has strengthened stakeholder trust and elevated the Council’s public image.
